Check out this year’s runner up in the Writerwerx University Poetry contest!

Celestial

I dance in the wind.
I dance in the crashing waves.
I dance on the golden sands of a beloved and tortured shore.
I dance in the meadow of my maiden years,
A red sea of poppies and anemonies kissing my feet.
Don’t be afraid, for I am free.
In my lover’s wings I sleep tonight.
In fireworks from the heavens and in celestial winds,
I sleep well tonight.
