New Lesson: Proofreading

Posted on December 24, 2021December 24, 2021 by Tenesha L. Curtis, M.S.S.W.

The lesson on proofreading has been posted.

Proofreading is the last step before publication. Some people get proofreading and copy editing mixed up. If you’re confused about the difference, take a look at those two lessons to make sure you have a solid understanding. Even just noting how far apart they are in the progression of book development is something it’s helpful to know.

Proofreading is an opportunity to give your manuscript a final review for the mistakes that slipped past the rest of the book development steps. But, instead of looking at it on your own (which isn’t all that affective since you’ve been staring at it for weeks / months / years AND if came from your brain in the first place), you’ll hire a professional to do it for you.

Even if you are one of those people who has an idea in their head and hasn’t written the first word of it down, there’s nothing wrong with being prepared for what’s ahead for you when you get to this point in your book development journey.
