As reviews for Intro to Indie Publishing begin to come in from ARC reviewers, I’ll share them on the blog.
What is Intro to Indie Publishing?
I maintain a collection of books on behalf of Writerwerx University. These are meant to help fledgling writers who may feel overwhelmed by the variety of paths available to them as an indie author. I spend time within these short guides encouraging new authors to not be afraid to experiment and figure out what works best for them when it comes to tasks like outlining or writing their first draft. But, to give them something to start with, I explain at least one method for tackling a specific issue that they can then customize for their own needs.
In Intro to Indie Publishing I gave an overview of the indie book development process. This is merely an iteration of the kinds of conversations that I have with new writers during critique groups, my classes, or at conferences I speak at. They often want to know in general what indie book development looks like. But now, instead of spending nearly an hour explaining it to them, I can refer them to Intro to Indie Publishing so that they can review the information at their leisure and refer back to it as needed after they purchase a copy of the book.
Where Can I Get a Copy of Intro to Indie Publishing?
As of this writing, you can pre-order a copy or just add it to your virtual bookshelf on these sites:
Writerwerx University: Ebook | Paperback | Audiobook
Amazon / Audible: Ebook | Audiobook
Bookfunnel: You can sign up to receive an ARC any time between now and December 31st, 2023. An Advance Review Copy is just what it sounds like: its a version of the book that gets distributed to interested readers so that they can read the book and review it before it goes on sale to the public. The benefits are that you get to read the book before the public does (like a real VIP!), and you get it for free, and you’re helping spread the word about the book so that it can have a solid showing on its release day. Since ITIP in particular is so short, you can read it or listen to it in about half and hour. Meaning reading the full book and reviewing it within one day is extremely easy to do.
Happy reviewing! ♥
